The surface
#FAF8F4
Unglazed paper. The work is loud enough, so the shop around it should not be.
The rule
One of each. That is the whole catalogue.
Every piece is unique, so there is no stock, no sizes and no restock. The constraint is the product: a reviewed catalogue, not an open one.

About

Ceramics students and emerging artists sell through Instagram DMs and local fairs. There is no route to a buyer in another country, and nothing in the format that makes one piece stand out from the next.

Ceramicoso is a curated cross-border marketplace where selection is the product. A reviewed catalogue, not an open one: somebody decides what goes in, which is the opposite of how a marketplace is meant to scale and the only reason it is worth visiting.

Designed in Figma Make and Claude Design, developed and shipped solo. The platform is live. The work now is supply and community, which happens in studios and not in code.

Notes from the maker

Curation does not scale, and that is the point
Martín
An open marketplace would have more inventory and nothing to say. The review step is the only thing a buyer three countries away has any reason to trust.
No search in version one, on purpose
Martín
Every piece is one of one. Search is for choosing between things that are the same, and here nothing is the same. It shipped without a search bar and so far nobody has asked for one.
Forty messages, two replies
Martín
That was my supply strategy for about a week. Both replies were polite noes. Turning up at a studio with clay on the floor and no laptop works considerably better than anything I can type.
